Sleeping Beauty

This is for a project to illustrate a Brothers Grimm fairy tale for which I chose Sleeping Beauty. Here is the book cover I created, I wanted to make it look as though the the darker ink is taking over the lighter pink inks on the page to show the tainted side to the tale. The fairy illustration is from the start of the story when the King holds a banquet to celebrate the birth of his daughter, an evil fairy arrives and casts a spell on the princess so that on her fifteenth birthday she will prick her finger on a spindle and die. I have used Indian ink and water to create this effect.

Fedrigoni

This is my response to a YCN brief which asked us to bring Fedregoni to life. I wanted to target one of Fedrigoni's main clients, the fashion market. I wanted to promote a fashion even which would showcase a collection of clothes made from Fedrigoni paper. I wanted to think about the whole idea of Fedregoni being tailored to you, the paper Fedrigoni make is a couture, bespoke to the clients needs.
