Johannesburg - Lion & Rhino park, petted lion cubs, Butchers grill. Downtown Joberg - weren't allowed to get out of the car! Sowetto tour, Lunch in township - tourguide eating tripe! Col'cacchio pizza - best pizza ever. Gold Reef City theme park, Steak restaurant - amazing cheesecake, bad cheeseboard. Chose own wine in wine cellar! Garden Route - Flew down to PE + hired car. Drove 20km down dirt track to game lodge. Luxury camping experience. Saw giraffe on game drive. Addo elephant park, drove to Plettenberg Bay. Lookout beach restaurant - hotter than hot chili prawns! Bunji jump, Incredible tapas lunch at vineyard, Birds of Eden sanctuary, Mozambican restaurant, Got drunk with hostel owner at Amakaya hostel! Drove to Knysna, Jambajo's hotel, Beer on waterfront, Oyster festival, Surrey of SA! Wimbledon final and tapas at waterfront bar. Lunch at Oudtshoorn ostrich farm, Tried ostritch steak. Drove to Stellenbosch wine district, Pizza restaurant - Nacho Libre Mexican pizza. Wine tour in Stellenbosch - two vinyards, cheese tasting, lunch and two more vinyards! Cheap dinner in bar and shots with the locals in an Irish bar! Cape Town - Drove to Cape Town, Fish & chips in Hout bay, Saw penguins on Boulder's Beach, Nando's for dinner. Lovely hostel - Backpackers, South Africa. Breakfast on V&A waterfront, South African National Gallery, Mama Africa for dinner - tried crocodile, Incredible prawn curry and live music. Breakfast at Lola's - cool branding, v.tasty omelet and orange juice smoothie. District Six museum, tried fried bacon and banana with maple syrup - horrendous! Mediterranean/seafood restaurant for dinner. Big red bus tour. Camps Bay for lunch. Bought new book - The Understudy by David Nicholls. Back to Mama Africa for dinner - too good not to to twice. Live band even better this time! Lunch in Italian cafe, wondered around the shops and had a lazy Sunday. Mexican restaurant for dinner, couple of beers and early night before Sydney tomorrow...

One month today I will arrive in the beautiful South African City of Cape Town. Beginning my travels in Johannesburg I will then fly to Port Elizabeth, hire a car and drive The Garden Route before spending the remainder of my trip in Cape Town. Exciting!

This was a brief I was given while working for Cycle Surgery to re-design the branding for the store signage. I wanted to create a fresh, quality feel while remaining clear and informative. I also wanted to play on the graphic element of the cog to incorporate the cycle theme.
